i have a hopkins&allen rifel and i cant find the seriel# or find out any info on it so please help single load
the gun was my fathers and dont know where he got it from but i would like some info on this gun it says 25RF on the hex barrel single shot and single load if you have any info please help
All good info so far. These were inexpensive firearms sold from 1968 to 1915 manufacturered Norwich, Connecticut. They mostly manufactured a large line of "Suicide Special" spur trigger revolvers as well as larger models, rifles, and shotguns.
The vast majority of their production was made for other brands and didn't bear the H&A name. They sold their products to hardware stores and department stores usually under the store's own trade name. Millions of these were made.
Not much collector interest on a whole, but that will change as they get older. I'd say a couple of the estimates are on the high side. I've picked up ones like this in good shape for $50 and under. Typical sale would hover around $100 or so unless particularly beautiful.
Get a nice rack and display of the old gun. Even if it may not have been his lifelong hunting rifle, it still belonged to your father and deserves some dignity.
