What part of a pair of scissors is called the shank?
Since there is no tool section....this is the most general category I could find!
I got little response from this ? but for those who r interested the shank is usually the thinnest part between the grip & blades....not the blades as most commonly believed.

I think that is the part of steel, between the handles and the blades. A shank, usually means a straight piece of steel.
