Where is the AC Drain? and what is the firewall?
There is a clog in my AC drain causing water buildup in my vent system of my '98 Ford escort (SE). I know that I can unclog it with a coat hanger or compressed air, but I can't find the dang drain hose. There have been postings before that have also mentioned the "firewall" What is that? I've opened the blower casing and empied the water. I'm coming pretty close to just drilling a hole in the casing and installing a plug-cockk valve to manually drain the condensation off!
I will see if I can be of a little help here. The firewall is between the engine and the passenger compartment. It helps slow the progress of an engine fire hopefully giving you time to get out of car in the event of an engine fire. That said, from what I could find. The drain line seems to be in pretty much the same place on most vehicles. That would be on the passenger side, between the dash and the wheel well. I couldn't find an answer on your specific car, but I did find a couple forum entries that may help you. Hope this helps you.
