Name that hard drive connector/socket (have pics)?

Ripped this out of a busted nc6000 a friend had, he wants all his pictures saved, problem is idk what adapter to buy, if there is one! (to hook into my desktop) The socket adapter thats on it, i think its a pata? or something? i dont go back that far. and the HDD itself seems to have like a mini ide type of pinning, but its not...i tried. lol so what do you think?

It is still IDE, it is just a 2.5" drive.
