How to use a Sanding Drum Mandrel on my Dremel Tool?
I am an aritst, mostly with paintings and wood burnings. Recently gained an interest in carving wood and sculpting. I have a Dremel tool and every time I use the sanding drum mandrel attachement, where you place the sanding "tube" over it, the tube flies off. I have checked and everything is the right size---even my tool which came with the Sanding Tubes do not fit the drum. I have tried hot glue and white glues. they work for a very short time and then the sanding tubes fly off eventually. The kit came with no instructions and I have searched on line, found the different parts but again, no instructions. Any thoughts? Again---its not the drum that is coming out---its locked in tight. Its the sanding tube. And i am using only wood. Thanks.
I use mine with a rubber gasket....it has a screw in the top, and tightening the screw causes the rubber to expand to fill in the sanding tube. Adhesives won't work, because the heat of the friction will cause them to melt.
