Why Do Blacks Feel the Need to Chastise Prominent Black Figures Who Choose NOT to Use the Race Card?
For example: Michael Steele, Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, and Colin Powell (back when he was conservative). Why can't blacks learn to uplift these people in their community instead of calling them a "house n*gro", "Uncle Tom", or accusing them of wanting to be white? Isn't accusing them of wanting to be white a put down to themselves (does being an educated black person automatically mean you want to be white?)

this phenomenon has puzzled me for the longest time.
it is sad really. the names you listed are good representations of successful blacks, good role models but were never given their 'due' by a large part of the black community. but BO gets in the arena and becomes president , now all of a sudden we have a man who 'makes us feel like we(as blacks) can do anything'...as though no one black before him accomplished as much or more.
not all blacks are taught to take handouts/play the race card/blame others(whitey,society) for their lot in life. there are several who do not subscribe to this mentality and are attacked/put down and called self-hating sellouts for their pains.
