Folding Utility
Has anyone taken the new Phil and Ted sport utility stroller with the doubles kit onto an airplane trip?
How easy is it to fold up, What do I do with the back seat after the stroller gets folded up for the airline people to stow it? Thanks for any info.
I have an older Phil and Ted's E3, with a doubles kit. I love it, and use it all the time. But I also fly with my kids very frequently, and I never take that stroller. It doesn't latch shut. It's heavy. You can't do it with one hand. And there's no way to store the extra seat unless you have a carry bag. (No way in heck I'm monkeying around with a carry bag at the end of the jetway while trying to keep two toddlers out of the way!)
I carry my younger one in an Ergo or Mei Hip carrier, and the older one rides in a junky stroller. Or sometimes the little one sits in the stroller, and the older one rides my suitcase like a little monkey.
It's a real bummer, because the E3 is otherwise a GREAT stroller. But it's not meant for stuff like this, that's for sure.
