Depends how old you are and how big your hands are--some Squiers are short-scale, like the Mini Strat.
Any guitar shop where they will help you find a good one is a good place to go. Guitar center has lots of guitars so that's a good place to start if there's one near you.
Every guitar is unique--they are made from wood and no two trees are alike. Try several different guitars and don't make up your mind in one day. If you find one you like, ask them to hold it and come back the next day and try again and compare others and see if you still like it.
The most important thing is whether you can fret all the strings without too much effort and that no strings buzz when fretted higher up the neck. Sometimes this can be adjusted.
