How do i change the battery in my peugeot 205?
This is for anyone familiar with the 205 or anyone who is mechanically minded!
It is a 1991 205 and the battery is dead and won't charge up, so needs changing. But the small metal plate and bolt holding down the battery seems to be stuck.
I've tried spraying it with WD40 to clean off the muck and rust, but with no luck.
I've used pliers, wrenches, spanners and socket wrenches! But nothing seems to make a difference.
Any help or tips would be gratefully appreciated, especially if you have had the same problem!! But i do only have a limited selection of tools, so please don't suggest ones that the average person wouldn't own!!

It is probably acid corrosion which has caused this problem so I would pour some boiling water on it to loosen it. Then I think you will find the bolts should come undone while still hot. Good Luck. h
