Are generic woodworking Router Bits as good as name brand bits?
Most interested in knowing about Ogee, and Rail & Stile bits
short answer is yes. If you are buying a Carbide Tipped bit, they all use the same materials unless it says right on it some type of carbide alloy. I have used bits from both ends of the spectrum and the difference is very small.
