What do i do if my xbox 360 will only show a red light when turning it on?
i turn on the xbox and the red light comes on and nothing happens it wont even go to the screen saver. it wont go to anything its just a blank screen and a red light on the xbox. please help me out on this.
oh i think you have the " RING OF DEATH". maybe not if not then probabley check the cables they might be plugged in wrong. or if theyre not plugged in at all there will be the ring of light. um if you have the ring of death... not to worry microsft will fix this. i think at no cost, maybe just shipping and handling to get to them. so just call microsoft and tell them, but first dont forget to check your cables. oh yeah i forgot to mention... how many lights are there that are red??? cuz if three then you got ring of death, if 4 then just somthings wrong with your cables.
oh yes one more thing. the guy below me says it cant be fixed??? dude you mad stupid. it can be fixed, i fixed this for my friend. this just requires opening the x-box and cleaning out some things. but if your not a pro or even have a little expierience doing this i suggest not doing it. opening it requires somewhat patience and some intelligence. also youll need the opening kit.
